Momenta Partners Welcomes Doug Harp, PE as Managing Partner

Momenta Partners, the leading global Advisory, Talent and Ventures firm focused on Digital Industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Doug Harp, PE as  Managing Partner, leading their Digital and M&A Advisory Practice. 

Mr. Harp is an accomplished leader and business builder who has successfully led both product and service firms in automation, IT, and IoT. Over the past 30 years he has been personally involved in over 100 business and technology transformation projects as either a leader or a practitioner. He is both a deep thinker when it comes to digital technologies as well as an accomplished manager of people and processes. 

Doug joined Momenta Partners because of his passion for Digital Industry and its ability to transform business models, including product and service strategies. He sees the industrial and infrastructure sectors moving rapidly towards data-driven decision making enabled by the industrial internet of things (IIoT) and machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI). “Momenta Partner’s advisory practice has delivered incredible results in a short period of time,” Doug says. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to build on this success and lead the organization towards its goal of being the leading Digital Industry Advisory practice in the market.” 

Doug’s career began designing and deploying large scale, mission-critical automation systems for the energy, process, manufacturing and utility industries. His ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams led to assuming the role of CEO of an industry leading Consultancy, tripling the size of the business and adding new service lines including IT/OT strategy, enterprise asset management (EAM), and operational data management. 

Over the past five years, Doug ventured deeply into the IIoT market by taking on digital leadership roles at two emerging product companies. He was COO at Candi Controls (acquired by Altair), an IoT device and data management platform, where he led a cross functional team including product development, field operations and sales. More recently, he was VP, Global Customer Operations for Augury, a provider of IIoT/AI-enabled industrial machine health solutions where he was responsible field operations, supply chain/manufacturing, IoT network operations and machine reliability analytics and advisory services.
