Tim Neal is the CEO of GoExpedi, a company providing Intelligent Industrial Procurement solutions to the Oil & Gas industry. Prior to founding GoExpedi, Tim  spent 4+ years living in China where he led global market strategy for TSC, a leading drilling parts equipment manufacturer. At TSC, Tim helped identify multi-million-dollar opportunities for introducing new product lines in global markets. Prior to that, Tim led Arsenal Football Club’s digital marketing efforts in China. Tim earned his BA at the University of Oregon, Lundquist College of Business, with a double major in Business Administration and Mandarin Chinese. 

In our conversation, we discussed Tim’s digital industry journey and his early focus on Mandarin Chinese language and Business Administration. He shares his atypical introduction to digital working in marketing and what further attracted him to the Oil & Gas sector and TSC. He also shares some key lessons working at the intersection of the U.S. and China from 2013-2016 as well as advice for companies considering doing business with China today. Tim then dives into his current work with GoExpedi and the solutions he is providing in Oil & Gas. Lastly, Tim shares his perspectives on COVID-19’s reset of the supply chain as well as advice for emerging entrepreneurs.
