Momenta Partners, a global Advisory, Talent and Ventures firm focused on driving growth in Connected Industry companies is pleased to announce that Stephen Berard is joining their Advisory practice as a Strategy Partner.

Stephen brings deep Connected Industry experience. In his most recent role as the Chief Architect for Schneider Electric's IoT platform, called EcoStruxure, Stephen was in charge of technical strategy.  

In his role he supported digital transformation efforts by delivering key IoT capabilities across Schneider’s business portfolio. His engineering efforts helped to deliver core capabilities including secure device provisioning, sensing, connectivity, device management, data management, analytics, and application enablement.

Stephen is a seasoned software professional with more than 20 years of software architecture, design, and implementation experience. His prior experience includes over 8 years as Technical Program Manager for the Microsoft Windows Core OS team. For his outstanding contribtions, Stephen was awarded the first Microsoft Environmental Action Award. During his tenure at Microsoft, he was directly responsible for advanced data center power management in Windows Server 2008 R2 to deliver a substantially more energy efficiently and manage the server operating system.  He also drove engagements with key government, NGO, and industry organizations to collaborate on power and energy efficiency initiatives. Among his other achievements, he was a key contributor driving the battery life experience for Windows tablets and defined the Connected Standby experience in Windows which delivers the instant on/off power experience of the smartphone to Windows PCs.
