Optiva Appoints John Giere as President and CEO

Momenta's Executive Search team congratulates John Giere on his placement as President and Chief Executive Officer at Optiva.  

Optiva,  a leader in providing communications service providers (CSPs) worldwide with cloud-native revenue management software on the private and public cloud, appoints telecom industry thought leader and veteran, John Giere, as President and Chief Executive Officer. 

Giere joins Optiva after serving as Chief Executive Officer of Openwave Mobility and General Manager of the mobility business unit for Openwave Systems. Prior roles include Chief Marketing Officer for Alcatel-Lucent and Lucent Technologies in addition to vice president roles in sales, marketing, and business development at Ericsson.

With Giere’s leadership and proven track record as CEO leading and building successful global telecom software businesses, he will guide Optiva’s team and cloud-native BSS product roadmap to focus and address emerging 5G market opportunities across new SaaS business models within a rapidly expanding monetization ecosystem.
