Momenta Partners, a global advisory, executive search and ventures firm hyper-focused on Connected Industry (M2M, IoT), today announced that PLAT.ONE, one of its portfolio companies, has been acquired by SAP.
PLAT.ONE provides an Enterprise-Grade IoT and M2M platform to rapidly develop and deploy industrial IoT solutions. The platform was developed within ABO Data, a Research and Development company in Italy that has deep experience in the connected transportation, smart energy and smart cities space.
Drawing upon decades of experience in Connected Industry, Momenta Partners led an initial investment into PLAT.ONE and provided executive mentoring to the Founders in areas including starting up the company in the San Francisco Bay Area, establishing PLAT.ONE’s brand and positioning, and established key partnerships with Cisco and other Momenta portfolio companies. Momenta also placed IoT thought leader Dr. John Bates as CEO.
